Thursday, October 21, 2010 – “The Foreigner” at Amish Acres, Nappanee, IN.  Set in a resort-style fishing lodge in rural Georgia, the comedy revolves around two of its guests, Charlie Baker and Englishman Staff Sergeant Froggy LeSueur.  Charlie is so pathologically shy that he is unable to speak.  As way of explanation, Froggy claims his companion is the native of an exotic country who does not understand a word of English.  Before long, Charlie finds himself privy to assorted secrets and scandals freely discussed in front of him by the other visitors.  These include spoiled but introspective heiress and Southern belle Catherine Simms and the man to whom she is somewhat reluctantly engaged, the Reverend David Lee, a seemingly humble preacher with a dark underside.  Her younger brother, Ellard, a chubby and somewhat “slow boy” is a simpleton who tries to teach Charlie how to speak English.  Owen Musser, the racist county property inspector, plans to oust property owner Betty Meeks and covert the lodge into a meeting place for the Ku Klux Klan.  Package includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation, lunch and show.  Lunch will the famous Threshers Dinner served family style. Trip departs Kabelin’s at 9:30am and returns approximately 4:30pm.  Reservations and payment are needed by September 21, 2010.  $73pp

Thursday, September 16, 2010 – “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” at Theatre At The Center, Munster, IN.  Based on the popular 1988 film, Tony Award winning Dirty Rotten Scoundrels centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. Tuesday, October 12-13, 2010 – “Frankenmuth Overnight” in Frankenmuth, MI.  Join us as we travel to Frankenmuth for two fun-filled days.  Our journey will begin with a group lunch at the world famous Bavarian Inn Restaurant with a Frankenmuth-style chicken dinner, complete with all the fixings.  We will then be joined by a local guide for a city tour of Frankenmuth.  Our guide will give us a better understanding of this quaint Bavarian Community.  Our tour will take us to all the beautiful historic sites in Frankenmuth with a stop at St Lorenz Lutheran Church.  After our tour, we will check into our rooms at the Bavarian Inn Lodge.  Built in 1986, the lodge is conveniently located across the covered bridge to historic Frankenmuth, Michigan’s “Little Bavaria”.  This 360-room European themed resort offers five indoor pools (one with a waterfall), a family fun center including eighteen hole miniature golf, Oma’s (Grandma’s) Restaurant, the Lorelei Lounge, Ratskeller Restaurant and an authentic Bavarian atmosphere.  The rest of the afternoon and evening will be free for you to explore all that this community has to offer.  May we suggest Frankenmuth River Place and free laser show, a stroll through the downtown shops, Birch Run Outlet Mall, brewery tours, winery’s, museums, Zeilinger Wool Company, and much more.  In the morning, we will also enjoy some time on our own for breakfast or more exploring.  Our journey home will stop at Bronner’s Christmas World.  Thousands of shimmering lights and sparkling ornaments, hundreds of whimsical animated figures, and a worldwide selection of gifts is delightfully displayed in a European marketplace atmosphere.  See snow fall in the west entrance lobby.  Be sure to visit Bronner’s Silent Night Memorial Chapel.   The chapel is an exact scale replica of the original chapel in Oberndorf, Austria, near Salzburg, which was build on the site where Silent Night was first sung.  Around the outside perimeter of the chapel, the first verse of the hymn is written out in more than 300 languages.  It is a definite must see!  Our taste buds will love us on our last stop of our journey home.  Enjoy the extraordinary, handmade truffles at The Chocolate Garden.  Made in a kitchen, not in a factory by actual human beings, their handcrafted truffles have been featured on the Food Network and Fine Living TV.  Each one is handmade and rolled in coarse chocolate to create an extremely creamy and unusually sumptuous chocolate truffle.  Because of this unique process, there is no hard, waxy, outer shell, just pure, shameless, decadent truffle bliss.  Package includes roundtrip motorcoach transportation, lunch at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, city tour, one night hotel accommodations and taxes.  Trip departs Senior Center at 8:00am and returns approximately 5:30pm.  Reservations and payment are needed by September 1, 2010.  $155 double, $138 triple, $129 quad, $209 single
